Like most football coaches inundated with bowl game preparations and last-minute recruiting obligations, Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops hasn't spent much time doing holiday shopping for his wife and three children.
As a matter of fact, Stoops said Monday he had visited the nearby Norman Mall, only a couple of miles from Owen Field, once during his 10-year tenure at the school.
"I'm fortunate that my wife is pretty understanding," Stoops said. "I don't shop. Fortunately, Santa Claus takes care of my kids. I've got a great wife, she handles it. And me, I don't need anything this year."
