Texas Tech coach Mike Leach was not expected to talk about any jobs until his regular season was finished.
With the Baylor game concluding that part of the Red Raiders' season, the Seattle Times reported on a blog that a tipster told them that Leach had flown to Seattle with his wife from Las Vegas.
I would presume that Leach has more interest talking with Washington officials about their vacant head coaching job than sampling the delicious broiled salmon at Ivar's Salmon House if he was there.
Tipster Dave Christophersen told the newspaper he had seen Leach enough on television to be sure it was the Texas Tech coach.
"I guarantee it was him,'' Christophersen told the Times.
Leach was unavailable for comment when I tried to contact him Tuesday afternoon.
I'll keep trying -- mainly because I'm curious if he likes Wild Coho, King or Sockeye salmon the best.
