Let's catch up with some of the happenings in the AFC West Thursday evening:
Whether he likes or not (and he doesn't), Michael Bush is now working at fullback in Oakland. It says here Bush should just suck it up and deal with it. The Raiders could do a lot of things with him at fullback and he could get the ball more or, at least, he could get more action.
Bush isn't getting much playing time at tailback so this could be a good move. Oakland nearly traded him to San Diego in October so this may be his last chance at success in Oakland. Fullback may not be an ideal situation for Bush, but it's better than being a rusty tailback.
Enough tickets have been sold in San Diego to Sunday night's game against Indianapolis that there will not be a blackout on local television. This is a huge game for the Chargers. It is essentially a must win for San Diego which is 4-6 and trails Denver by two games in the AFC West.
It will be interesting to see how the San Diego crowd reacts to Chargers coach Norv Turner. The team's brass said Wednesday that Turner will return as the team's coach in 2009. During San Diego's last home game, Nov. 9 against Kansas City, fans booed loudly in the first half before he Chargers came back to beat the Chiefs.
Speaking about the Chiefs and television blackouts, there will be no blackout in Kansas City on Sunday. Enough tickets to the game against Buffalo have been sold. It will be the 147th consecutive sellout in Kansas City.
