While the NFL is excited about Darren McFadden taking over the Raiders' offense and his 164-yard effort against Kansas City last Sunday, we all may have to hold our horses.
Oakland coach Lane Kiffin -- yes, he is still the Raiders' coach -- loves McFadden but it is Justin Fargas whom Kiffin refers to as the "heartbeat of our offense."
That heartbeat, though, likely won't be beating Sunday at Buffalo. Fargas suffered a groin injury at Kansas City and he likely won't play. McFadden and Michael Bush will carry the load as the Raiders look for an upset win in Buffalo.
McFadden has been slowed by a toe injury but is expected to play Sunday. When all three of these players get healthy, the Raiders should have something special. Will it be enough to win games? We'll see. When Oakland's rushing attack is clicking, it should be one of the best in the business.
