Here are some keys for the San Diego Chargers in their game Saturday night at St. Louis:

Just get through it: The Chargers have been pretty banged up during camp, and coach Norv Turner will do his best tonight to make sure that the injuries don't mount. He is planning to keep several players, including quarterback Philip Rivers, on the bench because he doesn't want to risk further injury on the St. Louis turf. Several young players will get extensive playing time. Watch for Turner to use his veterans more extensively on Aug. 25. against Seattle.

The backup RBs: The Chargers are excited about Jacob Hester and Darren Sproles, the two backups to LaDainian Tomlinson. Hester was very good last week against Dallas and Sproles also had his moments. When it is all said and done, Hester may be the backup to Tomlinson, but expect both of these players to get a lot of playing time because they bring different things. The Chargers want to see continued progress by both players tonight.

Antoine Cason: The Chargers are thrilled with their first-round pick. The cornerback has been better than they even expected in both training camp and last week against Dallas. With Antonio Cromartie likely not playing tonight, Cason will even get another chance to show what he can do.
