NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Ravens didn't do much different when Albert Haynesworth came off the field for the Titans. But his absence was enough to change things for Baltimore's run game.
The Ravens averaged 2.2 yards more per carry and were more likely to run when Haynesworth was out of the game. Trouble was he kept coming back in.
Here's a breakdown from ESPN.com researcher Doug Kern:
| Ravens Play Selection | | | Rush Att. | Rush Yards | Rush Avg. | Pass Att. | Pass Comp. | Pass Yards | Pass YPC | Percent Rush | | Haynesworth In | 28 | 81 | 2.9 | 21 | 14 | 117 | 8.4 | 57.1 | | Haynesworth Out | 10 | 51 | 5.1 | 6 | 4 | 36 | 9.0 | 62.5 | | Total | 38 | 132 | 3.5 | 27 | 18 | 153 | 8.5 | 58.5 | | |
Haynesworth usually lined up on the left side of the defense and the Ravens surprisingly ran to his side often (right guard, right tackle). As usual, he was often double-teamed.
