NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Titans backup center Leroy Harris is getting to know new Titans backup quarterback Chris Simms.

Part of that is learning how to snap to a left-handed quarterback.

"He let me know I need to turn the laces," Harris said with a laugh. "It took me a couple times... Usually I put my thumb on the laces, and the laces are sitting straight up. With him I turn the laces to the side, they are in my fingers and my thumb is just on the ball."

It amounts to a quarter turn to the right. Which may not seem like much, unless you're Simms looking to have the ball delivered in a way that facilitates a quick grip.
